Brand History: Until late 2006, Innotek® was manufactured by Invisible Technologies, the same company that manufactured Invisible Fence® brand products. Now, both Innotek® and Invisible Fence® are manufactured by Radio Systems Corp., which manufactures a variety of dog fence brands, including PetSafe®, Guardian®, and SportDog®.
Product Cost and Availability: Innotek® products are available online and at many retail stores. Prices range from about $130 for one pet on the Basic System (single-level receiver) to about $440 for one pet on the UltraSmart System (multi-level receiver).
Warranty: Innotek® products include a limited lifetime product warranty. Warranty returns are handled by mail.
Batteries: Innotek® dog fence receivers require rechargeable 3V Lithium batteries.
Receiver Info: The Innotek® UltraSmart receiver weighs approximately 85 grams and includes 9 user-adjustable correction levels. You must recharge the Innotek® UltraSmart receiver every few weeks by attaching it to a charging station for 2 hours. You should make sure that your dog is in a safe, protected area when you remove the receiver to recharge it.
The Innotek® Basic Receiver weighs approximately 113 grams. It requires a 6-volt alkaline battery and includes only one correction level.
Transmitter Info: The Innotek® UltraSmart Transmitter powers up to 25 acres. The Innotek® Basic Transmitter powers up to 5 acres. Both transmitters include built-in lightning protection.
Wire: Innotek® dog fences include 20-gauge wire as a standard part of the hardware package. Some online retailers include upgraded wire, either for free or as an add-on. If your Innotek® dog fence does not include upgraded wire, you should purchase it at a local wire specialty store.
Installation and Training Support: Innotek® products include a training and installation DVD. Innotek® also provides a toll-free hotline for training and installation support.
